About the Event

You are invited to share in a Christmas party with AMIS friends.  International students and AMIS friends are invited to be the guests of Central Presbyterian Church, a historic congregation in downtown Atlanta across from the Georgia State Capitol building near Georgia State University and the Five Points MARTA station.   A simple lunch will be served of sandwiches from Panera.  We will decorate Christmas cookies for dessert.  Then, we will make holiday ornaments and create and decorate gingerbread houses.  In the spirit of our mission to promote cultural understanding, we will go on a tour of the church and view the Christmas decorations, various Nativity scenes, and have a Q & A session with one of it's pastors where you can learn about Christmas traditions and how some American celebrate it. Come to hang out with international students and American friends on the Sunday afternoon before Christmas!

Masks are required to be worn inside the building except when eating.  Please sign up by December 14.

Address: 201 Washington St. NW - free parking is available on Sundays on both Washington St. and MLK Dr. Main doors are on Washington St. right across the Capitol gates.
