About the Event
We are seeking AMIS students and friends to help us introduce international cultures to the young students at the Atlanta Children's Day Shelter! We will participate in an Early Childhood Education Classroom Takeover. International students and volunteers will organize and lead an international culture-related craft/activity with the children and read-aloud a book to the students. Classroom staff will be present to assist with supervision and engagement, but the planning and execution of the craft/activity is fully in the hands of the AMIS students and volunteers! This is a wonderful opportunity to help children learn to appreciate different cultures at an early age.
When? Wednesday, August 5th from 2:30 to 4:30 PM
Where? Atlanta Children's Day Shelter, located at the back entrance to North Avenue Presbyterian Church (just 2 blocks from North Avenue MARTA Station)
