International Student Meet & Greet

Would you like to meet a local American? Are you looking to expand your network? Do you want to learn more about U.S. culture? 

Join this introductory session to learn about AMIS Atlanta and our International Friendship Program for international students.  We call it the Amigo Program (the Spanish word for "friends").  You'll learn how it works, what the benefits are, and more! 

You'll also learn more about AMIS Atlanta as a nonprofit organization in Atlanta for 45 years.  We'll tell you what we're about and how we welcome and connect international students with local friends in metro Atlanta.

Your hosts will be Jill Parker, our Amigo Program Director who loves to host international students in her home, and Petar Ivusic a Georgia State grad from Chile and AMIS's Program Coordinator.
