About the Event

Because we recently learned that there is a service going on at the Ebenezer Baptist Church (where we were going to meet) at the same time (11 am), we are revising our meeting location:

At 11:00-11:15 am, we are meeting outside the front entrance of the MLK National Park Visitor Center in front of the Ghandi statue.  We will set up an AMIS table and there will be AMIS signs to direct you.

If you are coming from the Visitor Parking lot, when you walk down the promenade to the Visitor's Center, you should easily see us.  If you are coming from Auburn Ave, just go to the front entrance of the Visitor's Center.  Attached is a map with our meeting spot circled in RED.

At the AMIS table, we will have park MAPS and suggestions for touring the park.  As you arrive, you will sign up for a slot for the MLK birth home tour (assuming we are able to book them that morning), and we will introduce you to a small group to walk around the park with (if you'd like).  To prepare for the day, you may want to check out the MLK park website here.

If you are driving or want to see the public transportation options, go here.  There is ample parking in the Visitors Center parking lot.

If you need a ride or want to carpool with others from your school, please let us know and we will email you a list of those going from your school and hopefully you can carpool or take Lyft or Uber together.
