Stone Mountain Hike and BBQ

Enjoy a summer morning with AMIS friends as we climb Stone Mountain, one of Atlanta's most popular tourist destinations! This rocky formation emerges from the ground just outside of Atlanta and creates a visually stunning experience just miles from downtown. Views from the top provide a 360-degree look at Atlanta and the surrounding towns, giving you an entirely unique perspective of the city. This hike will begin at around 9:30 AM at the park and will be finished by around 11:30 AM.

Following this hike, AMIS volunteer and board member, Jesse Hancock, is inviting students into his home for a summer BBQ lunch in nearby Snellville! Various grill-out foods will be served such as hot dogs, burgers, and vegan options, along with a selection of sides and drinks. 

Transportation options include driving yourself, driving others, or requesting carpooling from the Indian Creek MARTA Station. You can indicate which option you prefer in the registration form. Carpooling is not guaranteed and will be provided based on the number of volunteer drivers who sign up.

Tickets will cost $10 for students to help cover the costs of transportation. Volunteer drivers will not be asked to pay (use the coupon code VOLUNTEER to bypass the registration fee).
