Join AMIS for Stone Mountain Park's Lift Every Voice Drone & Light Show in celebration of Juneteenth on Friday, June 19, 2026.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. The holiday's name, first used in the 1890s, is a combination of the words 'June' and 'nineteenth,' referring to June 19, 1865, the day when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War.
AMIS is excited to celebrate Juneteenth by gathering at 8:30 PM for a picnic on Memorial Lawn and then watching the 'Lift Every Voice' Drone & Light Show at 9:30 PM on the great lawn at Stone Mountain Park.
