About the Event
RESCHEDULED EVENT: Take a break from Atlanta for the day, and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds our city! AMIS will welcome the Spring season with an outdoor adventure at Sweetwater Creek State Park. Join us for a day of hiking, exploring old ruins, and taking in the wonderous sights of Georgia's wilderness.
Carpooling will be arranged (as available) for transportation to and from the park. Carpools will be meeting and departing from the Midtown MARTA station. We will leave Atlanta at 9:00 AM for the 30-40 minute drive to the park. Please note that parking costs $5 per vehicle. We will begin hiking once everyone has arrived. After exploring the park, we will all enjoy lunch together at one of the picnic shelters. Bring your own lunch to enjoy after the hike. From there, we will return to Atlanta.
