Welcome Reception

For the past 46 years AMIS has welcomed international students to metro Atlanta with a FREE Welcome Concert and Reception. Students can meet Americans and other internationals and find out more about AMIS's programs throughout the year.

Our 2024 Welcome Reception was a huge success with students from over 45 countries, with nearly 300 international students and volunteers in attendance. The event buzzed with live music, catered food, a photo booth, international line dancing, door prizes and icebreaker activities while fostering smiles and interactions across cultures. One student shared, “I loved meeting people from all over the world. It felt good to make new connections.”
