AMIS's 42nd Annual Welcome Concert and Reception. This FREE event is held in honor of ALL International students and scholars in Georgia and is open to the metro Atlanta community. You will enjoy a beautiful concert featuring the acclaimed Morehouse Glee Club, meet friends and international students from Metro Atlanta, and enjoy a delicious reception.

For the past 42 years, AMIS has welcomed International Students and Scholars to the greater Atlanta area through an Annual Welcome Concert and Reception. AMIS has long been known for offering hospitality and friendship to our International friends, and we hope to continue for years to come.
To our students: Welcome! We are glad you are here and hope that AMIS can help you make American friends while you are in Atlanta.
To our volunteers: Thank you. Your hospitality means the world to so many students who have shared time with you.

Information and Directions
When you arrive at Spelman College, signs and volunteers will direct you to the West campus parking deck. Parking is $3. Follow the AMIS signs for a short walk through the campus to the front entrance of Sisters Chapel. There is handicap parking by the Bessie Strong building. If needed, you will be directed there.
We are pleased that the Morehouse Glee Club will perform this year. To learn more about them and to hear samplings of their work, visit their website. You will learn about AMIS and the ways students and volunteers can get involved.
After the concert is over, guests will walk to the nearby Atrium in the Manley College Center for a reception. We hope you will enjoy this time of connecting and meeting international students and scholars from schools all over Atlanta, American volunteers, and special guests.

From I-75/85 North and South
Take I-20 West and exit (#55B) at Lee Street. Turn right onto Lee Street and continue through the next traffic light (Westview Drive). You will see a large parking lot on the right-hand side. Turn right into the first driveway and you will approach the gates of Spelman College.
From I-20 East
Exit (#55A) at Lowery Blvd. Cross Lowery Blvd. and continue on Oak Street to the next traffic light. Turn left onto Lee Street and cross the bridge over I-20 and continue through the next two traffic lights. You will see a large parking lot on the right-hand side. Turn right into the first driveway and you will approach the gates of Spelman College.
From I-20 West
Exit (#55B) at Lee Street. Turn right onto Lee Street and continue through the next traffic light (Westview Drive). You will see a large parking lot on the right-hand side. Turn right into the first driveway and you will approach the gates of Spelman College.
From Downtown Atlanta
There are public safety booths located at both gates of the College. Upon your arrival, the public safety officer(s) will inform you of where to park and give other directions and instructions as needed.
On Marta
From Downtown, take the Red line to West End Station, then bus 68 to West End Ave. at Lee St.
